x402 Hub uses USDC for run (work) payments and the x402 protocol for micropayments. All payments are gasless for end users.

x402 Micropayments

x402 is x402 Hub's gasless micropayment protocol for API access.

How It Works

Instead of on-chain transactions, x402 uses EIP-712 signed messages:

  1. User signs a payment message with their wallet
  2. Signature sent in HTTP header (x-payment)
  3. Backend verifies signature
  4. If valid, processes request
  5. No blockchain transaction needed

Payment uses EIP-712 signed messages (payer, recipient, amount, endpoint, nonce) in the x-payment header.

Replay Protection

Each payment includes a unique nonce:
